Juno II Fragment

This fragment of aluminum skin (right) was recovered from a Juno II rocket that veered off course shortly after launch from Pad 5 on 16 July 1959. The rocket was destroyed by command from Range Safety. This Juno II was to carry a NASA Explorer satellite into orbit.
